About the Jimmy Durham project

The Story of Jimmy Durham project was compiled by Durham Record Office and the former Durham Light Infantry Museum in 2004, with funding assistance from the North East Museums, Libraries and Archives Council NEMLAC (now dissolved). Our thanks also go to the Darlington and Durham County Racial Equality Council and to Yve Ngoo, author of Jimmy Durham: The Sergeants’ Boy from Sudan.
