Photograph collections

Information about photograph collections in Durham County Record Office and elsewhere.

There are many thousands of photographs in the collections held in the Record Office, and you can view over 40,000 images online. Where possible the subject matter of each photograph has been identified and described in the online catalogue.

To search for photographs on our online catalogue go to search the catalogue and select the option to view image results only. Enter your keyword(s) in one of the Search Details boxes to perform a free text search.
